Welcome to the Nebraska Weed Control Association Website.

We hope that this website will provide you some valuable information in your noxious and invasive weed control.
Everyone involved in the Nebraska Weed Control Association is geared toward helping everyone out in noxious
and invasive species control.  The Nebraska Weed Control Association is made up of Weed Control Authorities
and Weed Superintendents from the 93 Counties and associate members involved with noxious and invasive
species control in the State of Nebraska.  One of the biggest changes in the state of Nebraska over the past
10 years has been the formation of Weed Management Areas (WMA’s) across the state.

Weed Management Areas are a group of public & private entities, landowners, and concerned citizens working
together for invasive species control.  This year in 2008 there will be an estimated $5 million worth of grant projects
taking place throughout Nebraska.  That does not include the matching and in-kind services that will go along with
that money.  Noxious and invasive species control has evolved over the past years, more people are finding that working
together can get more accomplished in a short amount of time.  If ever there are any questions about noxious or invasive
weed control, feel free to contact the Nebraska Weed Control Association Home Office in Grand Island at 308-385-5097.
